At the Let’s Play Hockey Expo, FinnStar will showcase its newest product the SockJawz, a patented sport garter belt designed by hockey players for hockey players. Besides exhibiting at the Expo in St. Paul, FinnStar regularly exhibits its product line at ice hockey shows throughout North America and Scandinavia. Recently FinnStar exhibited at the International Ice Hockey Show in Toronto,Ontario.
Founded in 1995 by Terry Vayda and his friend Pat O’Shea, FinnStar Hockey, Inc. is based in Oneco, Florida and Oslo, Norway. FinnStar’s management team consists of a who’s-who of hockey players and coaches with careers spanning collegiate and semi-pro hockey.

The SockJawz is the first in a series of hockey accessories that FinnStar manufactures and distributes worldwide. Other products in the FinnStar line include the Octopus Carry-AllTM, to carry all coaching supplies with one hand, not eight arms, and a line of educational books about playing and coaching hockey.

The adjustable jaws-like grip holds socks securely while allowing players maximum comfort and freedom of movement (flex-ability and stretch-ability). Young players can put on the SockJawz by themselves quickly and easily. Other features of the SockJawz that Andriopoulos notes are that it is washable, very durable, and has no metal parts.
In addition to ice hockey, the SockJawz garter belt can be also used for inline hockey, floor ball, and bandy. SockJawz comes in adult and youth sizes. The suggested retail price for the SockJawz is USD $13.95.
